Marriage Preparation (Pre Cana) Classes

The new date for the Marriage Preparation classes for our grouping, also known as Pre Cana, will take place on Saturday, August  22, 2020 at the St. Maurice Parish Center from 9AM and will conclude after the 4PM Mass that evening.  Our Pre Cana classes, which fulfills the Diocese of Pittsburgh’s guidelines for being married in the Catholic Church, will include talks from our clergy team and qualified couples on having a Sacramental Marriage, Finance, Parenting and Communication.  The interactive day is run by our successful team and we welcome couples from our parishes and neighboring parishes to attend.  Registration is required and is $60 per couple.

Please contact the St. Maurice Parish Office at 412-271-0809 to register.

Masks Required

When our churches open again everyone attending or visiting will be required to wear a mask.  To make sure everyone has one, we will need to have extra masks on hand. If anyone wants to help they could make a few masks and donate them to our parishes for use when the churches re-open.  Any color, any size.  Just drop them off at the parish office.

St. Maurice Suspending Food Pantry Operations

Effective immediately St. Maurice food pantry is suspending operations, so we ask all food donations to come to the Madonna /Word of God parish office, 2021 So. Braddock Ave., Swissvale on Tuesdays only from 9 am to 5 pm.

ChristLife Series Suspended

In an effort to keep everyone as safe and as healthy as possible, we have decided to suspend our last three Discover Christ sessions (originally scheduled for March 22, March 20 and April 5) until after Easter.

Once we all have a better grasp on the health of our participants and the possibility of NOT having the virus spread, we will reschedule the last three sessions.  We are hoping to reschedule them later this spring.

Please share this information with those in your groups.
