Over 70 years ago our parish began in Forest Hills which was once part of the coal mining industry that developed here as in the general Turtle Creek Valley area. Some of the old Duquesne coal town buildings were still standing when our parish was founded.
During the intervening years we have witnessed many changes. We have a beautiful church in which to worship, and newly formed centralized grade school serving the surrounding communities. We are blessed with hundreds of St. Maurice parishioners who serve God and the broader Parish community by contributing their time and talent to serve in a variety of special programs and activities to meet the needs of parents and children, helping you and your family grow together in God’s love, through a broad range of Parish ministries. Our entire parish staff is ready and willing to be of service to you and your spiritual needs. Every day we strive to be a welcoming parish reflecting the heart of Christ, the mind of the Church, and the Spirit of Saint Maurice.
It is my hope that you will take some time to get to know us and worship God with us.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Kenneth Marlovits
