How did Peter became a disciple?
While Peter was a fisherman, he was also a follower of John the Baptist, which ultimately created the opportunity for Jesus to choose him as an early disciple, or follower, of Jesus. Originally named Simon, Jesus changed his name to Peter, which means ”rock.
